Our Story

Creation
Is About The Process.

Craftsmanship isn't a skill, it is a way of life. We build because we love it. We love the process of creation... taking raw materials and creating something beautiful, functional and lasting. We restore old structures to preserve the creation of our predecessors and honor those who pioneered our craft and built our heritage.

For us, creation is about the process. The process is what yields stunning structures that radiate strength, comfort, warmth, and welcome. Time-tested, proven, traditional elements and style are hallmarks of our work. We incorporate new and modern practices, tools, and materials into our proven performance, designs, and craft.

In addition to developing workable solutions to complex problems, and crafting beautifully inviting spaces, I love fishing, boating, and spending time with my sweetheart. I believe life was meant to be lived in the most honorable way.

Real success is making a difference in the life of a person. To help them learn something new. To help them develop a talent. To encourage them when they are afraid. To protect them when they are vulnerable. To inspire their mind and help them develop a testimony of the truth. To love them. This is the example Christ gave us, the ultimate success!

I love working with my hands, building and creating things from scratch; building things that will last and stand the test of time. My work is  the standard I consistently strive to improve upon. I am always learning. Mastery is not a destination it is a quest to continually improve and become better than I am.

When not at my craft, I love camping, hunting, mountain biking, four wheeling, & spending time with my wife and my young daughter and son. I take pride in my work and love what I do.

I love to build. I love to learn and make the world around me a better place.

I love camping, hiking, hunting and spending time with family. I find the process of creation stimulating and engaging. It leaves me wanting to learn and do more.

Mastering the Craft of Historic Construction

Historic restorations are some of the most meaningful projects we engage in. There is an unlimited amount of troubleshooting and problem solving that go into bringing a structure, that has endured the ravages of time, back to the state of the beauty and warmth with which it was originally created. Many of the pieces in these projects need to be custom created to match styles that are no longer available in our pre-packaged society. Great care is always taken to imbuing  these structures with the glory they had in previous generations that have gone on before. Click here to see samples.
